Homegrown in the suburbs of Washington DC, Ache Harvest is an Alternative Rock Band like no other. Vocalist Carly Ratcliffe, drummer Ben Fremin, bassist Matthew Werfel, and guitarist/producer Matthew Aasen display high-level talent and devotion to the craft. Their mature musicianship and songwriting are evident in every song they perform.

With a sound that combines young, pop-rock energy with a dramatic and powerful arena-ready sound, Ache Harvest breathes a modern take on a classic style. Ache Harvest fuses influences such as Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, and Evanescence into a unique and distinguishable world of sound. Driving drums that can be described as a combination of Travis Barker and Chad Smith, bluesy guitar licks with foundation-building chords, tasteful bass that always provides the deep glue to the track, and powerful yet expressive vocals are the key elements to Ache Harvest’s sound.

The band has recently been nominated for a Wammie award for best rock band in the DMV. Ache Harvest was selected and performed as a semi-finalist at the national Live Nation High School Rock Off at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their original song ‘Red Eye’ has accumulated well over 15,000 streams on major music platforms. Additionally, they were the winners of both Round 1 and Finals for Crooked Run’s 2021 Battle of the Bands as well as the first place winners at the Loudoun Battle of the Bands Round 1 on February 25 and the winners at the 2022 PFHS Battle of the Bands. From playing at major local events such as ‘Broadlands Live’ to performing at established DC venues like ‘The Pocket,’ Ache Harvest’s sound is reaching listeners and captivating audiences all over the East Coast.

Their background of live music performance serves as the groundwork for their studio sound and process. Iterating songs based on stage experience is a crucial part of Ache Harvest’s songwriting process. Ache Harvest’s originals always stand out; expect to be impressed when they hit the stage.

Ache Harvest’s new single “Set In Stone'' is a relatable pop rock track that embodies the spirit of following your dreams. With its recognizable melody and meaningful lyrics, “Set In Stone” is sure to get stuck in your head.

Ache Harvest plans to hit the stage this summer, scheduling countless gigs on the East Coast.
